Introduction to Hydrawise Technology
The cost of upgrading to a smart irrigation systems with a Hunter Hydrawise wifi sprinkler controller generally pays for itself in the first 10 months of use based on data received by our customers over the past three years. The controller will water less during cooler and more rainy periods and water a little longer during hotter and dryer periods to ensure the proper amount of water is being applied over the course of the season. It will also allow us to make adjustments remotely and perform repairs without the need for you to be at home.
Adding a hunter flow meter to your controller will allow the system to send alerts when the system using water while the controller is not running to prevent large water bills. It will also send alerts based on low or high-water usage per zone. These alerts allow us to ensure that your system is performing at it peak while reducing the number of on-site inspections per season. We gather the water usage data and are able to see small changes over a long period of time to be able to diagnose issues that the automatic alerts are unable to detect. Most customers either do not notice a leak until they receive their water bill or the system is checked by a licensed technician since the best time to run the sprinklers is during the early morning or late evening. Gathering this information along with our managed irrigation plan also allows us to create water budgets and troubleshoot deviations from the budgeted amount.
Hydrawise technology also allows the homeowner and the contractor to make system adjustments, view scheduling and access water usage reports through an app on your wireless device or computer. You will have remote access to your system from anywhere in the world as long as you have internet access. Our Hunter Hydrawise Specialist can recommend the Hydrawise components to help conserve water and reduce your monthly water bill.
